Which of the PS4 or Xbox One was more successful?

During the month of November 2013 the PS4 was the best selling console. With the PS4 selling 2.1 million units, and the Xbox One only selling 2 million, it was a very close race. Both Sony and Microsoft earned more than 1 Billion in profit and will be receiving more in the future because holidays are coming up, and because more people are bound to buy them in the future. Plus, many new games for next-gen only are coming out in 2014, which means people might be waiting to get a special edition, or a special console of that particular game.
